Highland Corporate acted as sole advisor for Ecorganic on its merger agreement with Veritas.

TRANSACTION

The Catalan chain Veritas and the Valencian company Ecorganic have signed a merger agreement, creating the largest organic food group in Spain.

Both organizations share common values and philosophy, which has been fundamental to the successful merger of the two companies from the outset. This agreement is expected to reach combined sales of €100 million by 2019, with the two chains totaling 72 supermarkets across Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, the Basque Country, Navarre, Madrid, the Valencian Community, and Andorra, with a workforce of 700 employees.
